Snowmobile Trails- 

Ogemaw Hills Snowmobile Club – The Ogemaw Hills snowmobile club is located at Alley Park Trail Head near the corner of Fairview Rd and Rose City Rd. Included at the Trailhead are two groomer barns, a 3 acre parking lot and pavilion.

ORV Trails- 


Width: 50″ Length: 14.9 Traffic: Some County Rds Open to ORVs: Yes Forest Rds Open to ORVs: No Description: Sandy and rocky trail in rolling to hilly terrain. Couple loop options. Connects to Meadows ORV Trail and Ambrose Lake ORV Trail. Located in Ogemaw county which allows ORVs on county roads. Map

Rifle River Recreation Area- 

Rifle River Recreation Area - Over 4,000 acres with streams and ten scenic lakes. A modern 75 site partially shaded and mostly grassy campground features a swimming beach, playground and boat launch. Three rustic campgrounds with 99 campsites. Rustic trailside cabins. Observation tower, picnicking, fishing, ice fishing, boating, canoeing, hunting or trapping, wildlife viewing and sports areas. 14 miles of pathways meandering throughout the park offering hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Snowmobiling is available at the nearby AuSable River Scenic Byway.

Rose City, established in 1905, is located in Ogemaw County in the northeastern  section of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Rose City is located midway between West Branch, Ogemaw County seat, and Mio, Oscoda County seat, and midway between Hale & St. Helen.
